Pundi Perempuan is a forum to raise and manage funds for the Women’s Crisis Center (WCC)  and institutions that deal with issues of violence against women in various regions in Indonesia

Why Pundi Perempuan?

Women’s National Commission records show an increase of cases of violence against women continued in 2001 namely 3.160, 5.163 in 2002, and in 2003 again increased to 7.787. However, high rates of violence against women is not balanced in increasing the number and quality of service institutions that facilitate the creation process of recovery for women victims. What The Purpose Pundi Perempuan?

General Objectives are as follows Pundi Perempuan:

  1. Raise funds to assist women victims of violence through the Women’s Crisis Center (WCC/ lembaga pengada layanan) or organizations that deal with issues of violence against women
  2. Open space for the involvement of all people to take an active role in dealing with women’s issues, particularly issues of violence against women
  3. Open space for people to express concern and support for women victims of violence, whether in the form of material and for the sake of continuity immateri institutions and services for the recovery of women victims of violence in Indonesia.
  4. Form the basis of a social movement, the liberation of all members of society from violence, especially for women in the most vulnerable to violence.

Where The Funds Channeled Pundi Perempuan?

The collected funds channeled to the institutions dealing with issues of violence against women, including the WCC. WCC Services aims to be able to overcome the problem of the female victim who appears as the impact of the violence they experience. From the handling of casualties is expected to get (1) the restoration of trust, (2) An understanding of their rights, (3) Knowledge and awareness about how to solve problems and make the best decisions. Every year menghibahkan Women Wallet funds in two billings. Each of these three institutions with a bill for the amount of funds reach the 15 million rupiah.

How The Accountability Of Funds Pundi Perempuan?

As a form of accountability to the publicn, Pundi Perempuan funds are audited annually by external auditors. In addition, Pundi Perempuan narrative reports and financial reports are regularly sent to the donors and the wider community. Since its founding in 2003, funds collected until the year 2008 is Rp. 776 107 222, – and has been distributed to 32 institutions in 15 provinces in Indonesia

para pendamping dari Serikat Perempuan Independen Labuhanbatu dan survivor bersama dengan masyarakat setempat berbincang tentang persoalan perempuan, termasuk persoalan kekerasan terhadap perempuan dan bagaimana seharusnya perempuan menghadapi persoalan tersebut. Pertemuan seperti ini rutin dilakukan oleh Serikat Perempuan Independen Labuhanbatu untuk meningkatkan pemahaman perempuan atas hak-haknya sebagai perempuan dan sebagai warga negara. Serikat Perempuan Independen Labuhanbatu adalah salah satu penerima dana hibah Pundi Perempuan.
